Can’t wait for this… document.getElementById(“post-408-blankimage”).onload(); It was very hard for me to compile a list of only 20 albums for this year’s “best of” list and there were some really strong records which didn’t make the cut. For example, Jimmy Eat World’s Chase This Light was a very solid offering, as was Elk City’s New Believers and Clap Your Hands [...] Mark your calendars because The National will be performing on The Late Show with David Letterman on July 24th. The band has also announced a slew of new North American tour dates for the Fall: One of my most favorite bands, The National, recently recorded a “White Sessions” show which broadcast over French radio today. For those who have never seen or heard this band live, you are really missing a treat. Hopefully a listen to this will inspire you to purchase tickets and see this band the next time [...] There’s a great article on the rising success of The National in the most recent Village Voice.
