It was very hard for me to compile a list of only 20 albums for this year’s “best of” list and there were some really strong records which didn’t make the cut. For example, Jimmy Eat World’s Chase This Light was a very solid offering, as was Elk City’s New Believers and Clap Your Hands [...] I’m not sure if this is a fuck-up on iTunes part, but they are selling the new Stars album In Our Bedroom After the War right now when it’s not supposed to be released until September 25th! There’s no mention on the label (Arts & Crafts) website about an early-sale on iTunes, so my money [...] Amy Millan, the beautiful voice behind Canada’s Stars, will be releasing her debut solo album on May 30 called Honey From the Tombs. Since every Stars album is near perfection to my ears, I have high expectations for this record, and judging by the free download being offered called “Skinny Boy,” my expectations just might [...] |
