Matador Records will release an expanded version of Pavement’s 1995 classic Wowee Zowee on November 7th. Just like they did with Yo La Tengo, Matador is offering a sweet deal for those who pre-order the record. Not only will you receive the album on its release date, but you’ll be rewarded with a bonus 7″ and a link to download an extremely rare Pavement show from 1994.
As of now, Matador’s online store is the only announced “participating retailer,” but the folks at Matador promise to announce many more on Monday.
Visit Matador’s Pavement page for more details.

While browsing the iTunes Music Store today, I saw an ad for Anderson Cooper’s “Celebrity Playlist.” With a quick chuckle, I decided to see what this guy listened to and was SHOCKED with what I discovered.
Some highlights from his playlist:
“Set the Ray to Jerry” - The Smashing Pumpkins
“You Can Have It All” - Yo La Tengo
“Summer Babe” - Pavement
“Coffee & TV” - Blur
Anderson Cooper’s cred just went up a whole lot more in my book.
