In early December, Coldplay taped an appearance on Austin City Limits for PBS. Chris Martin has always been a supporter of getting the music out to the people and gladly performed the show.
One of Austin City Limits traditions is to bring out a special guest for a song or two and Coldplay treated everyone with R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe. The band and Stipe performed two songs, “In the Sun,” a Joseph Arthur cover, as well as the R.E.M. classic “Nightswimming” with Chris on Piano.
