I’ll be the first to tell you that I think Yoko Ono is a devil woman. Not only did she have a huge hand in breaking up The Beatles, but the vast majority of her “music” is just utter garbage.

Yes, I’m a Witch is a new forthcoming Yoko Ono “remix” album in which many great artists were asked to work their magic on a song of their choice from Ono’s back catalog. There are some real gems on this compilation, including Cat Power’s take on “Revelations,” as well as “Walking On Thin Ice” by Jason Pierce of Spiritualized.

For the first time, I am actually able to listen to Yoko’s music without utter disdain. Way to go Chan Marshall!

2006 was a great year for music, especially when compared to 2005. In fact, I had such a hard time picking my 10 favorite albums that I have expanded my list to 20 this year.
