I’m not easily impressed when it comes to mashups, so when I came across this tweet from the “official” Smashing Pumpkins Twitter account today hyping a mashup of Rick Springfield’s “Jessie’s Girl” and The Smashing Pumpkins “1979,” I was skeptical. Most people think they know how to mashup but are terribly mistaken. Thankfully, that is not the case here. This is how a mashup should be done: simple, solid usage of all songs involved and no dissonant chords that make you cringe in aural pain.
Bravo DJ Lobsterdust, bravo!
