Great Northern have announced that they will be touring with The Dears in support of their fantastic new album Remind Me Where the Light Is, available April 28th on Eenie Meenie. The duo of Solon Bixler and Rachel Stolte talk about the difference in the new record in comparison to their critically acclaimed Trading Twilight for Daylight:
“We took a lot more risks by entering uncomfortable territory that wasn’t touched on the last record,” Bixler says. “We dug deeper into the unpleasant, which helped us to find the beauty.”
Bixler and Stolte tapped producers Michael Patterson (Beck, BRMC) and Nic Jodoin for Remind Me Where the Light Is which has resulted in an album which features the back and forth vocal styling reminiscent of Mates of State with a more layered, guitar and orchestral-driven sound.
