One of the best new shows I’ve seen is Showtime’s United States of Tara. While it does not officially debut until January 18th, you can watch it for free on TV if you get Showtime On-Demand, or streaming through the web here.

United States of Tara is written by Diablo Cody, the same woman who wrote the wildly successful Juno. It is also produced by none other than Steven Spielberg. Not only is the writing brilliant, but Toni Collette is at the top of her acting game and the rest of the show is brilliantly cast. The only negative I can say about this series is that each episode is only half an hour.

While perusing on the Showtime website to find the exact link for the stream of the pilot episode, it appears that the network will also be doing free screenings around the country tomorrow. Click here for more details.
