Lykke Li – Youth Novels
Lykke Li is the latest artist from Sweden to break into the indie music scene. The 22-year-old singer is releasing her debut album Youth Novels in the US on August 19th and is has already created quite a buzz with sold out shows in NYC and LA and well deserved critical acclaim.
Youth Novels is the culmination of 10 months of work with her mentor and album producer Bjorn (of Peter, Bjorn and John.) The album features Lykke Li’s beautiful, innocent and airy voice over eclectic European pop.
Lykke Li reminds me a lot of Caroline, who’s 2006 album Murmurs was one of my favorite albums of the year.
