The Smashing Pumpkins - “Welcome Back Jimmy”

Anyone that knows me knows that my life revolves around one band - The Smashing Pumpkins. (The rest are all satellites.) Well, I’ve been getting very antsy in anticipation of the new album which is set to be released sometime in 2007 and figured I’d share a wonderful show from the band’s 1999 Arising Tour.

The Arising Tour was a small set of dates the band used to welcome back banished drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, as well as showcase some new songs from the forthcoming album Machina / The Machines of God.

The show consists of some of the bands best songs as well as a preview of such classics as “Home” and “Dross” which never were commercially released. (Unless you downloaded Machina II / The Friends and Enemies of Modern Music.)

Setlist:

  • I Am One
  • Zero
  • Pug
  • La Dolly Vita
  • Glass’ Theme
  • Virex
  • Dross
  • Speed Kills
  • Blue Skies Bring Tears
  • Stand Inside Your Love
  • Glass
  • The Ghost Children
  • Wound
  • Cash Car Star
  • Ava Adore
  • Today
  • Muzzle
  • Soma
  • Home
  • If There Is a God
  • With Every Light
  • Geek U.S.A.
