Internet Radio That Reads Your Mind
Pandora is
probably the smartest internet radio station I’ve ever seen. You simply
type in one of your favorite bands, and it plays artists that it feels
you would like, based upon the band you entered.
For example, I
entered “The Smashing Pumpkins,” and was presented with Archers of Loaf
“Freezing Point,” The Bevis Frond “Thankless Task,” and “Pearly Gates”
by Silkworm, to name a few, all of which were songs I liked.
The best feature about Pandora is that it tells you why
it thinks you will like said song, and takes in such factors as
tonality, mixture of electric/acoustic guitars, and syncopation. You
can tell Pandora if you like the song or not, and it will zero in even
more into your tastes.
