iTunes 4.9 - Bob Lefsetz

The following is from the Lefsetz Letter. I couldn’t have said it better myself:
—-
Used
to be you waited a week, maybe a MONTH to upgrade. But those were the
days before OS X. Having NEVER had a fuck up with an upgrade yet, I
downloaded iTunes 4.9, and its companion software, iPod Updater
2005-06-26, TODAY! You see, I just […]

100 Greatest Pop Songs Since 1963

MuchMusic.net is offering free downloads of the "100 Greatest Pop Songs Since 1963" as chosen by the "experts" at Rolling Stone Magazine & MTV.
Make
no mistake, Rolling Stone and MTV have the biggest jackasses for
experts, and if you need proof for that statement, look no further than
the fact that Britney Spears "…Baby One More Time" is […]

An Open Letter To Billy Corgan

Dear Billy Corgan-
Why do you have such crappy openers? I am one
of your biggest fans, and have been to more shows of yours than I can
count. Not once have I ever seen a great band/artist open for you.
Perhaps it’s because I’m just anxious for you to take the stage, but I
just don’t get it. Do […]

Here Comes the Bride, All Dressed In Ties

This weeks award for the most annoying soon-to-be-wed couple goes to none other than Avril Lavigne and her equally untalented fiancée, Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley.
Yes
ladies, this fine catch of a man is the same Deryck Whibley who can be
seen spitting on a guy after exiting a night club with Paris Hilton on
E!’s “Celebrities Uncensored” after […]

Robot Ate Me: The Genocide Ball

The bio for Robot reads like so:
The Robot Ate Me is a
self-eating happy sad sing along experimental-pop band based out of the
sunny and mostly superficial San Diego, California. This band has
little or no history worthy of putting into a biography. The songs tend
to speak for themselves. The band has nothing to do with robots and
they […]

If There Is a God (I Know He Likes To Rock)

WOW. In what has probably made me the happiest person in the world today, Billy Corgan has said he wants the Smashing Pumpkins back!
Today marks the official release of his first solo album TheFutureEmbrace. In the Chicago Tribune, Billy place a full page ad that says “For
a year now I have walked around with a […]

Eddie Vedder 1988 Demos

In the Summer of 1988, a tape was sent by Eddie Vedder to the guy who
lived downstairs from him in San Diego when he moved to Seattle.
Supposedly, several Pearl Jam fans pooled their money and purchased the
tape from Eddie’s neighbor/friend.
Tracklist:
01. One Step Up
02. Crossroads
03. Believe You me
04. Reggae Woman
